A Call to Action for Nonprofits
Connect us with promising Native-led and Native-driven practices demonstrating positive impact on Native youth. To kick off our partnership with Generation Indigenous and to lift up community efforts for meaningful support of Native youth, NAP and Gen-I hosted the event Generation Indigenous: Raising Impact with Innovation and Proven Strategies at the White House on August 26, 2016. Twelve innovation and success storytellers were selected through a competitive process to make a 5-7 minute presentation. A joint panel of youth judges and key philanthropy partners assessed the story presentations based on the criteria of addressing gaps and disparities and championing community assets, cultural competency, leadership that reflects the community served, and the impact on Native youth.
We invite you now to join us for our #GenIndigenous Regional Convenings to present on your organization and the important work you’re doing to strengthen the health and well-being of Native youth. Our previous convenings were held in Northern California in San Francisco on April 18th and for the Northwest in Seattle on April 28th. If you would like the opportunity to present at a future convening, the storyteller application will be available to apply.
