Artist Bio: Halito, my name is Coryne, I am 13 and in the 8th grade. I like to do Tae Kwon Do and playing basketball in my free time.

Artist Statement: My painting represents us as Native Americans keeping our history alive and telling our stories from the past. For example, having pow wows and special ceremonies is a way to preserve and honor our culture. Also, protecting our environment is important to me because our home and land is dying faster and faster every day and we need to help it. We tell our stories so they will pass down to future generations. The koala bear represents my grandma because she is nice and friendly but can be tough at times. The fox represents my dad because he is brave and strong, he also pushes me to do my best.
