Artist Bio: A Junior at the University of Oklahoma studying Global Management and a minor in Non-Profit Organizations.
Artist Statement: This piece is really personal and I wanted to capture a precise moment. This piece is supposed to be the action of being a good relative. It’s the passing of ancestral knowledge and the hands are made up of gold and copper tones. This is meant to portray that our traditions and customs are priceless. I wanted the piece to be able to be seen from both perspectives because I believe whether you are helping someone get attached to their customs or are just learning, those relationships are important and priceless.
