Native Americans in Philanthropy Is Now Hiring

Native Americans in Philanthropy (NAP) is expanding its team and is now hiring for several open positions.  

NAP’s new strategic plan seeks to increase awareness among key stakeholders and engage Native and non-Native philanthropic professionals with NAP’s resources, activities, and programs. Over the past year, NAP has added several new members to its team in order to better serve the scope of the organization’s mission and goals.

Database Manager 
The Database Manager is a part of the Development & External Engagement team and is responsible overall care and management of the organizational data. The database manager will be the primary manager for the Salesforce CRM and will work closely with the website team by providing technology solutions to better meet the needs of members, communities, and programs.

Development Manager 
The Development Manager is a part of the Development & External Engagement team and is responsible for serving as the point of contact between senior leadership and donors. This person provides administration and management of files and systems relating to membership, grants, and donors. The Development Manager role requires highly professional, customer service-oriented skills and frequent interaction (verbal and written) with internal colleagues and external partners. This position will work closely with the senior leadership team to co-develop fundraising goals and strategies.

Director of Operations 
The Director of Operations (DO) will be responsible for leading a wide array of functions related to the organization's infrastructure and operations, ensuring effective management, and helping make NAP an outstanding place to work. Working closely with the VP of Strategy & Operations (VPSO) and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the DO will add operational capacity and strategy to support NAP’s growth. This position will engage with outside support for back-office functions where possible. The Director of Operations will direct budgeting, annual financial audit, tax filings and maintenance of records required for compliant operation under all national, state and local rules. They will be responsible for financial reporting to senior management. This person will liaise with outside contractors in back-office support services such as accounting, audit, investments, IT, HR, and grants management systems, as needed. The Director of Operations role is for someone passionate about operations, strategy, and team culture with an ability to bring ideas to fruition.

Events Manager (Updated 8/24/21: This position is no longer accepting applications)
The Events Manager is a part of the Development & External Engagement team and is responsible for the management of meaningful and impactful events. The manager will be serving as the point of contact between senior leadership and event logistics, operations, and vendors. This person provides supervision, management, and planning for conferences, gatherings, online events, and other events as needed. They will review all special event proposals from outside organizations. The Events Manager role requires highly professional, customer service-oriented skills and frequent interaction (verbal and written) with internal colleagues, external partners and guests, as well as vendors and technicians. This position will work closely with the senior leadership team to co-develop event concepts, coordination, sponsorship negotiations, and marketing.

Program Manager – Tribal Nations Initiative 
The Program Manager (PM) of Tribal Nations Initiatives will work closely with the VP of Tribal Nations Engagement to advance Native Americans in Philanthropy’s (NAP) engagement with Tribal Nations. The PM will help plan and launch new program initiatives focused on supporting Tribal Nations and Native American communities. This new initiative will develop capacity and raise awareness for Tribal Nations to strengthen their own philanthropic impact, while building their voice and power in the broader philanthropic sector. In this role, the PM will be responsible for initiative planning, development, and implementation with the VP of Tribal Nations Engagement. In addition, the PM will coordinate external relations with members, funders, and other stakeholders to advance NAP’s vision to support Tribal Nations.
