Kansas has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Native American Studies. She has worked over 10 years with Native American communities and organizations with experience in Non-Profit work and creating Business Development strategies. She has been influential in building tribal relationships with many organizations.

Kansas is a member of the Diné Nation residing in New Mexico. She was the former Miss Indian World 2013-2014 and a Native American Music Award winner.
