- The position itself is philanthropic in nature and/or focuses on roles essential to or valued by the philanthropic sector i.e. fundraising, grantmaking, gift processing or development, donor relations, nonprofit management and/or administration, social justice, equity, conservation, etc.

Our mission continues to evolve and grow. As an organization we have created the Tribal Programs Department to lead our work across Indian Country. We seek to enhance the Friends of the Children model with Indigenous culture as a protective factor in our tribal serving and culturally specific sites. As the Tribal Program Coordinator, you will work closely with our Tribal Program Team to provide the support needed to achieve our ambitious scaling plan to serve as many children across Indian Country as possible.
The Tribal Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating diversified functions and activities for our Tribal Program Team. This position will support cultivating and maintaining relationships between Friends of the Children and Sovereign Tribal Nations by ensuring effective development and implementation of tribal specific tools, resources, and best practices. This position organizes and anticipates the needs of the Tribal Program team as well as Indigenous the needs of Indigenous serving chapters and takes the initiative to support and seek out solutions. The Tribal Program Coordinator understands, supports, promotes and clearly articulates Friends of the Children’s mission, vision, values, and principles in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
