The Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health (LPFCH), in partnership with Stanford Medicine and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, unlocks philanthropy to transform health for children and families in Northern California – and around the world. Through fundraising and grantmaking, the Foundation drives scientific research, innovation, and policy change that will improve care, advance cures, and reform healthcare systems for this and future generations. Philanthropy supports clinical care, research, and education to improve the health of children and expectant mothers, locally and worldwide.

Reporting to the Vice President of Major Gifts and managing a team of three front line fundraisers, the Executive Director of Development will identify, cultivate, and solicit individuals, families, and family foundations with the philanthropic capacity to make gifts of $100,000 to $5M+ to the child and maternal health programs of Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. The Executive Director will serve as the second in charge of the major gifts team, managing three or more experienced campaign fundraisers and partnering with faculty and hospital leaders to identify fundraising opportunities in the areas of cancer, heart, and mothers and babies.
The Executive Director will have a Bachelor's degree and at least ten years of experience successfully closing major gifts with progressively responsible fundraising and leadership responsibilities. The compensation range for the Executive Director will be $225,000-$250,000 annually.
Director of Development, Mothers & Babies Campaign
Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the Director of Development, Mothers & Babies Campaign will partner with colleagues to lead a cohesive and comprehensive strategy to promote philanthropic support for programmatic priorities such as prematurity research, maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, and infertility. The Mothers and Babies Campaign also includes a major capital project to transform the hospital’s original building into a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to labor and delivery. You’ll maintain an active portfolio of donors and scale impact by supporting and activating Foundation colleagues, faculty, volunteers, and institutional leadership to raise funds for these preeminent programs.
The Director of Development will have a Bachelor's degree and at least seven years of fundraising experience and a proven track record of success. The compensation range for the Director of Development will be $180,000 - $200,000 annually.
These positions allow the candidates to work a flexible and hybrid schedule. The candidates must be in the office or traveling to meet with donors at least two days per week. Due to the nature of fieldwork, the candidates will often be on-site more frequently. The successful candidates should live within a reasonable commute of the Palo Alto, California, office.
