The University of West Florida, located in Pensacola, Florida, invites applications for the full-time position of: WUWF Public Media – Director, Membership & Engagement, 106280
Job Summary: The incumbent is responsible for managing WUWF’s membership program, fundraising campaigns, outreach opportunities and special events. The key responsibilities include maintaining membership database and donation platforms ensuring successful daily/weekly/monthly processing of credit cards and EFTs. Managing monthly membership renewal process and all aspects of the sustaining membership program including: data analysis and reporting to ensuring program is operating correctly; maintain communication with members (emails and phone calls). Coordinating annual membership fundraising plan/campaign including; sustaining giving, direct mail, gift acknowledgements, membership drives, and year-end tax receipts. Create quarterly e-newsletter for distribution to members. Manage ticket sales and check-in for monthly RadioLive concert series and annual holiday concert.
Work with Executive Director in setting strategies and policies related to fundraising, marketing, outreach and special events. Work with adjacent departments and functions (advancement services/database operations, etc.) to maintain quality and integrity of member/audience relationships and data. Maintain knowledge about the external environment as it relates to fundraising in the broadcasting industry and in general.

WUWF is renowned for its diverse programming, which includes a wide range of network programs and locally produced content, such as the popular shows “Acoustic Interlude” and “RadioLive.” These programs boast a substantial following, not only locally but also nationally and internationally through their internet broadcast service. With a rich history spanning over four decades, WUWF has consistently delivered an eclectic mix of local, national, and international content.
The UWF Pensacola Campus spans 1,600 acres and is located just minutes away from historic Pensacola and some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. Pensacola is home to a vibrant arts and culture scene, and hosts annual festivals, cultural events and performances throughout the year.
Skills Required
Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience, or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.
Position Qualifications: Strong project management skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives, adapt to evolving priorities, and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word (mail merge). Comfort working with CRMs and fundraising databases; experience with Raiser’s Edge a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in fundraising and donor relations. Exceptional customer service, organizational and time management skills. A self-starter with the ability to perform daily tasks and responsibilities with little to no supervision. Experience working in a fast-paced office environment with a highly integrated team.
