- The position itself is philanthropic in nature and/or focuses on roles essential to or valued by the philanthropic sector i.e. fundraising, grantmaking, gift processing or development, donor relations, nonprofit management and/or administration, social justice, equity, conservation, etc.

Talent, Learning & Evaluation Coordinator

- Administrative support for all human resource activities at the Foundation including hiring and selection, performance management, compensation, orientation and onboarding, employee engagement, professional development and learning.
- Lead new employee orientation scheduling and coordination and manage onboarding processes.
- Monitor and track individual learning plans and spending for staff.
- Work closely with the Senior Accountant on compensation logistics, including preparation of annual wage statements for employees.
- Serve as a resource and first point of contact for employees on a wide variety of questions related to the Foundation’s policies and practices, helping to answer questions or direct employees to other staff, the employee handbook or other resources. Work closely with the TLE Director and Talent Manager to develop, refine and manage HR processes so that they are simple and effective in supporting great performance and active learning.
- Assist in planning and implementing learning activities for Foundation staff that get us closer to our goals of being inclusive and anti-racist in what we do and how we do it. This often requires working with outside partners and vendors.
- Actively participate in and provide operational, planning and logistical support for the Foundation’s equity work.
- Support professional development for Foundation staff by identifying and sharing potential learning opportunities, monitoring and tracking individual learning plans and spending for staff.
- Assist in editing, reviewing, formatting learning papers, presentations and other learning products that share team and foundation work with internal and external audiences.
- Execute the day-to-day operations of the TLE team, including contracts, expenses, payments, budgeting, grantmaking and forecasting. Manage the Talent email inbox and contribute to effective use of the org-wide calendar.
- Manage the ongoing update and maintenance of the employee handbook, Resource and Policy (RAP) guide, working with policy ‘owners’ to ensure that the materials are up-to-date and useful to employees.
- Provide support to all TLE team members, assisting in day-to-day operations through coordination of logistics, scheduling, etc.
- Participate actively in TLE team building, planning, team activities, backing up other TLE members as needed.
- Maintain HR files to ensure that data is accurate and that queries and reports are available to meet the information needs of the Foundation. Work closely with the Finance team to ensure that information is managed effectively and in accordance with policies for retention and distribution of written and electronic records.
- Plan, coordinate and implement staff learning events, social activities and other org-wide activities that foster a great work culture.
- This includes supporting processes and policies that make the Foundation a great place to work, including ‘Wednesday Work Stacks,’ and hybrid work.
- Contribute to cross-foundation work and learning that advances the Foundation’s overall strategic goals by participating in ad hoc work teams, equity projects and organization-wide workshops and committees.
- Actively participate in process to award and distribute membership grants and share information with staff on opportunities available to them.
- Serve as a cross-organization partner and backup for other coordinators and teams as needed to manage priority deadlines and capacity crunches. (up to 25%)
- Actively demonstrate core organizational values in performing all duties.
- At least three years’ experience in a dynamic office environment. Experience in human resources, operational or organizational development roles will be a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, with experience engaging a broad and varied group of people, and comfort working at all levels of organizations. Highly approachable.
- Able to maintain absolute discretion when dealing with confidential information.
- Passionate and enthusiastic about building a culture, processes and practices that support equity and inclusion, continuous learning, high impact grantmaking and values-centered operations. Highly approachable.
- Willingness to take on new opportunities and challenges with curiosity, energy and enthusiasm.
- Organized and highly detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and keep varied tasks and projects moving simultaneously. Excellent, timely follow up with others, seeking input or asking for help as needed. An active problem solver.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
- Able to effectively work with people from a wide range of perspectives, experiences and cultural backgrounds.
