Austin is a proud citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and was born and raised in Bixby, Oklahoma. They join NAP with prior experience in community outreach, research support, and conservation, having worked with numerous environmental nonprofits in California, Oregon, and Washington.

Austin has received an AA in Political Science from Tulsa Community College, BA in Political Science from the University of Central Oklahoma, and an MSc in International Public Policy and Diplomacy from University College Cork as a Choctaw-Ireland Scholar. They are also currently enrolled at the University of Oklahoma where they are pursuing a Masters in Public Administration with a research focus on tribal governance.

In their free time, Austin enjoys taking chahta anumpa (Choctaw language) classes, biking, making stained glass, and getting out in nature as much as possible. They are currently based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
