Native Americans in Philanthropy is dedicated to increasing and nurturing Indigenous representation in the philanthropic sector. With that in mind, the opportunities on our Job Board fit one of the following criteria:
- The position is within a philanthropic or nonprofit organization
- The position itself is philanthropic in nature and/or focuses on roles essential to or valued by the philanthropic sector i.e. fundraising, grantmaking, gift processing or development, donor relations, nonprofit management and/or administration, social justice, equity, conservation, etc.

Development Operations Associate
Job Details
- Execute gift processing in Raiser’s Edge NXT (RE NXT) for national and five regional offices including:
- Research and identify donor intent
- Code gifts accurately
- Enter gifts into RE NXT
- Link gifts within RE NXT to opportunities and/or events
- Acknowledge and receipt gifts
- Report gifts to network
- Update gifts as needed after review from our fundraising staff
- Prepare for monthly and annual revenue reconciliation with the finance department and coordinate as needed with our fundraising staff.
- Perform regular audit queries for accurate and up-to-date donor and gift information.
- Leverage the RE NXT Forms tool to deliver customized event registration and donation forms for our network of fundraisers.
- Take a customer service approach to all aspects of particularly on gift-related processes and policies, including training, answering questions, partnering with staff, and updating documentation.
- Coordinate communications with fundraising staff, donors, matching gift, and other third-party entities.
- Collaborate with and support internal team on various Development Operations projects.
- EXPERIENCE: At least one year of experience in a nonprofit setting.
- TECHNICAL SKILLS: Command of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.) and Zoom. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge NXT, or other CRM is a plus.
