Reports To: Senior Director of Advancement

Status: Full Time, Exempt

Position Summary

IllumiNative is seeking an Online Giving Manager to report to the Senior Director of Advancement and be an integral member of the Advancement team. This individual will be responsible for the development and execution of a robust annual giving program at IllumiNative. This includes designing and implementing multi-channel strategies such as campaign design, email marketing, social media outreach, events, phone calls, and personal solicitations to effectively steward, cultivate, and communicate with individual donors. The Online Giving Manager will coordinate, develop, and execute editorial content calendars in collaboration with the Advancement and Communications teams to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all platforms. In partnership with the Sr. Director of Advancement, the Online Giving Manager will create reporting systems and long-term strategies for IllumiNative to engage individual donors and foster strong and lasting relationships.

In addition, the Online Giving Manager will collaborate with other IllumiNative departments and entities to create impactful program narratives tailored to various audiences. The role includes the efficient management of online giving systems, donor databases, and email systems. The Online Giving Manager will also be responsible for donor relationship management and stewardship of funding partners through regular updates and communications. Working closely with the leadership and advancement teams, the Online Giving Manager will contribute to the overall fundraising strategy to meet and exceed annual goals, ensuring IllumiNative's continued growth and success in advancing social change and building power for Native people.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Annual Giving Program Development and Execution: Develop and execute a successful annual giving program using a multi-channel strategy, including campaign design, email, social media, events, phone, and personal outreach to steward, cultivate, and communicate with individual donors.
  • Editorial Calendar Coordination: Coordinate, develop, and execute editorial calendars of content in collaboration with the Advancement and Communications teams.
  • Reporting Systems and Long-Term Strategies: In partnership with and under the direction of the Sr. Director of Advancement, create reporting systems and long-term strategies to engage individual donors.
  • Program Narratives Creation: Create powerful program narratives that can be adapted to varying audiences in partnership with other departments and entities.
  • Online Donation and Donor Database Management: Manage online donation systems, donor databases, and email systems effectively.
  • Donor Relationship Management: Manage donor relationships in partnership with and under the direction of the Sr. Director of Advancement.
  • Funding Partner Stewardship: Steward funding partners through regular updates and communications.
  • Fundraising Strategy Contribution: Work closely with the Leadership and Advancement teams to contribute to fundraising strategies and ensure annual goals are met.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in an operations role at a nonprofit, tribal or related organization.
  • Experience in designing and executing Annual Giving campaigns.
  • Proven success in building meaningful relationships with individual donors.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar donor CRM tools.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to serving the public in a mission-driven organization.
  • Solid background in writing, marketing, and solicitation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, along with strong presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker capable of conceptualizing, leading, and executing complex projects while effectively conveying their impact to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Strong collaborative skills, thriving in a team environment to advance projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Outstanding research and analytical capabilities.
  • Exceptional partnership development expertise.
  • Proven success in persuasive writing and experience in developing complex communication projects.
  • Demonstrated success in grant writing and a solid record of accomplishment of successful fundraising.
  • Experience in directing, motivating, developing, and supervising staff and contractors.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range:

$65,000 - $75,000
