The Project Manager supports the planning, implementation, and oversight of multiple projects and initiatives within the AIPHRC. This role requires cultural competency, professionalism, and a strong commitment to serving tribal communities. The Project Manager supports the planning, implementation, and oversight of multiple projects and initiatives within the AIPHRC. This role requires cultural competency, professionalism, and a strong commitment to serving tribal communities. The AIPHRC Project Manager will play a supportive role in the planning, implementation, and administration of projects and initiatives within the American Indian Public Health Resource Center (AIPHRC). Working closely with project team leads, this position ensures that projects meet timelines, achieve objectives, and align with community and organizational values. This role requires cultural competency, professionalism, and a strong commitment to serving tribal communities. As a grant-funded position, continuation of the role is contingent upon the availability of funding.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Support and Coordination:

  1. Assist team leads in planning, coordinating, and executing public health-focused projects.
  2. Develop and maintain project schedules, deliverables, and progress reports.
  3. Prepare communication materials, presentations, and reports to support team leads.
  4. Facilitate meetings and collaborations with internal and external partners.
  5. Coordinate travel arrangements for team members and self as needed.

2. Grant and Contract Support

  1. Assist team leads in identifying, preparing, and submitting grant applications and contracts.
  2. Support tracking of grant deliverables, budgets, and reporting obligations.

3. Outreach and Relationship Management

  1. Build and sustain relationships with tribal communities and organizations in coordination with team leads.
  2. Ensure cultural competency and community alignment in all project activities.
  3. Represent AIPHRC at events, meetings, and conferences as directed.

4. Professionalism and Compliance

  1. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  2. Follow institutional policies and maintain professional behavior.

Work Schedule: 

  1. NDSU Business Hours, some nights and weekends based on travel and projects 

Hiring Range:

$44,002 - $58,670 + DOE

Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related field. 
  2. 2–5 years of relevant experience in public health or project coordination. 
  3. Experience working with tribal communities or programs.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  1. Master's degree in public health or related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience working in tribal communities.
  3. Experience in grant writing and reporting.
  4. Previous experience in project management (e.g. in research, public health, or related field) OR previous experience coordinating events/activities.
