Reporting to the Director of Development, the Major Gifts Manager’s primary responsibility is to build and grow a Major Donor Program for NOA. The Manager will expand the base of support from individual donors and significantly grow independent revenue from major donors. The Manager will work with the Director of Development to help create, implement, and execute initiatives with individuals including major gifts, planned, giving, special events, and developing a comprehensive stewardship process for NOA major donors and prospects.
The ideal candidate will have experience with major gifts, donor cultivation, and stewardship. The Manager will help the Director of Development lead the strategic planning process for NOA’s long-term financial stability. The position will require occasional travel to meet with donors and funders to attend events. NOA staff are expected to work across diverse teams and workstyles, and help the organization design and administer systems that make workflow more efficient.
The candidate should care deeply about NOA’s mission, have experience working in the progressive funding world, and enjoy strategy and systems. The candidate should also have a familiarity with the history and current situation in Indian Country. Prior experience in working with tribal and Native communities and organizations is desirable.
