Job Summary The Project Manager implements the design, planning, and management of a broad cross section of projects. From conception to completion the Project Manager navigates among multiple simultaneous projects, monitoring progress and implementation while determining when and how to adjust priorities to achieve deliverables. Reporting to the company’s President, this position is outward and inward facing—collaborating with Indigenous Impact Co.’s clients and employees. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with, observe, and learn from regional and national Native leaders and their allies, who work in impact investing, banking, and philanthropy. Education and Experience The Project Manager is someone whose combination of education and experience demonstrates their work as a collaborator, a facilitator, a multi-tasker, and a learner. The Project Manager possesses the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years’ post college experience in project management, administration, or community engagement
  • Experience interacting with a variety of people—from managers to community members
  • Previous experience developing and implementing project plans
  • Previous experience working on collective, multiple-stakeholder projects
  • Previous experience working with Native clients and communities
  • Prior experience in community development is a plus

  • Understanding of government compliance and reporting of grants is a plus
Technical Skills Through the use of collaborative, integrated, and remote Information Technology, project management, and grant monitoring systems, the Project Manager possesses and applies skills that broaden and deepen our combined knowledge; team effectiveness; and impact. The Project Manager possesses:
  • Computer program literacy (Google services, Microsoft suite of services, etc.)
  • Communication tools’ literacy (Squarespace, Graphic programs, publishing programs, photo editing, database management, etc.)
  • Project management software facility (Asana)
  • Social media agility (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, etc.)
  • Ability to quickly identify and learn how to use new tools
  • Ability to deeply listen and integrate collective, community voice
  • Ability to interact with granting organizations–from the federal government to private foundations and their compliance and reporting requirements
Impact In centering Indigenous Impact Co.’s values of humility, compassion, integrity, and courage, the Project Manager effectively serves our clients, partners, and team by managing three core areas of responsibility: 1. Client Project Management:  
  • Creating long- and short-term plans with timelines and deliverables
  • Adjusting project schedules and targets 
  • Coordinating, scheduling, and recording key points from client meetings and convenings 
  • Monitoring task delegation to appropriate personnel and team members
2. Internal Capacity-Building: 
  • Contribute to development and quality of the company’s systems, protocols, project tools, and positive organizational culture
  • Generating first draft materials (i.e, visuals and communications) based on interpreting and synthesizing collective voice, processes, priorities, and outcomes 
3. Grant Compliance and Monitoring: 
  • Coordinating systems and protocols for clients and grantors
  • Creating long- and short-term plans with timelines and deliverables
  • Monitoring, adapting, and reporting on milestones, grants, and budgets
  • Supporting the evaluation of project performance
