Please join Native Americans in Philanthropy as they welcome Kristen Pratt (Osage) to their team.
“As the nation hits the one-year mark of the coronavirus pandemic and Indian Country enters varying phases of advancement, now is the time for us to optimize our team and that requires investing in people like Kristen who have a wealth of experience supporting Native communities,” says Erik Stegman, Executive Director. “Kristen is a natural fit for our small but passionate team.”
Kristen is a proud member of the Osage Nation of Oklahoma and brings more than 10 strong years of experience from areas including tribal government, national non-profits, tribal colleges and universities, program and project management, and federal grant management. Kristen attended college at the University of Central Oklahoma before beginning her professional career with the Osage Nation.
As part of the staff’s expansion, Dawn Knickerbocker (Anishinaabe, White Earth Nation) has transitioned to a new role at NAP titled Member Outreach Manager & Development Support.
Dawn joined the NAP team in December of last year and in a short amount of time has strengthened NAP’s mission with systems development and has shared her invaluable perspectives on the Cleveland baseball team name change, the January 6th Washington DC insurrection, and Deb Haaland’s historic confirmation as Secretary of the Interior.
Native Americans in Philanthropy is proud to expand its team, which will increase its capacity to engage Native-led organizations and increase their funding, support Native professionals in philanthropy, and further influence the philanthropic sector to be in alignment with an Indigenous worldview.
