Native Americans in Philanthropy condemns the terrorism and hate displayed last weekend in Charlottesville  as we stand in solidarity with those opposing the aggression of white supremacy and white nationalism.

Our sincerest condolences and prayers are with Heather Heyer, her family, and the 19 that were injured during the attack as we recognize that this is not an isolated incident. Unfortunately, this is the latest in a long line of atrocities and tragedies committed against marginalized communities and their allies.

Native Americans in Philanthropy stands with those continuously making efforts to bring light to injustices like these. We stand with our CHANGE Philanthropy partners and the many community leaders and activists who are committed to being  good advocates, to bringing positive impacts into our communities, and to making long-lasting, systemic and sustainable change.

We will continue to work with our members, partners, allies and within our networks to advance racial equity.
