Autumn is Sicangu Lakota and an enrolled member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Rocky Boy, Montana. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Autumn has been an active member of the Denver Native community and is a teaching assistant for a local traditional Lakota quillwork class. In addition to quillwork, Autumn is an avid beadworker and has been doing beadwork since she was old enough to hold a needle. She received her B.S. in Biology from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Prior to NAP, Autumn served as a Lead Program Officer at a Colorado-based Native non-profit, First Nations Development Institute, for 11 years, where she organized the annual conferences, managed IT systems, and most recently, oversaw a fellowship program for Native knowledge holders.
